Learn how to set up a Goole Local page for your dance studio! Google local pages are important because they show up in search results relative to the searcher’s location. When people are searching for your dance studio, you want them to read reviews, be impressed and contact you. Here’s how my Google local search looks like when I search for “Yolanda’s Tacos”, a local restaurant I really like:

When I arrive at this page, my eye goes to the right. Google lists your companies location, address, phone number, hours and more. It also pulls reviews into the search results which is extremely helpful for converting potential dancers. Having a Google local page is also important for establishing your business to Google. If Google thinks your legit, you will be more likely to show up in general search queries like “dance studio” which is extremely helpful!

So how do you set this up?

All you need to set this up is a Google Plus profile. You’ll create a page, select an address and confirm that it’s your business address. For full, detailed instructions from Google, view this.

You’ll need to verify your location, but once you do, you’re set. Add photos and videos of your studio and dancers to  really get people interested before they come in. Then ask your loyal customers to write a review- these can be very helpful for converting new business!
