Jazz Playlist: Fall 2015

by / 2 Comments / 7709 View / August 21, 2015

It’s time again. Classes start. Students are enthusiastic. Teachers are refreshed. New music is needed.

We’ve compiled more great jazz songs for the beginning of your dance season so turn it up and get to sweatin. As always, these songs are perfect for warm up, across the floor, and jazz combinations.

There are all types of songs on this, so be sure to give them a listen before playing them aloud in class- some may be too mature for younger students.

  1. I really don’t think that Love Myself by Hailee Steinfield is appropriate for dance class.

    • Hi Bridget,

Wow, you’re right. I’ve listened to this song countless times and love it for it’s upbeat melody and (what I thought were) positive lyrics. After reading your comment, i gave it another listen and yikes!

I will make a bolded note in the post so readers are more aware. Thanks!
